So, an electrician came around, to my flat today. I'm really not certain about him at all, he didn't inspire a lot of confidence. He has moved (& rewired?) the mcbs on my circuit breaker to different locations. Is this something that usually happens? I'm considering getting another electrician out, just to find out, if what he did was ok.. with thanks for your time..

Hi D. Depend of fault or reason you call for electrician . I usually explain to my customers what I am doing and why ? Maybe next time you should ask tradesman about job details . Regards Bogdan

Maybe you have a split load board with only one RCD, and he put some circuits on the RCD protected side. Just a guess though. I don't know why you asked the electrician to be there. If you had a circuit tripping out the RCD, maybe he took the faulty circuit off the RCD side as a temporary measure.

What would you like to do now?
