Three storage heaters not working, no current

Posted by Anita Lewis, on
My ex-council flat's three storage heaters are not working. A friend used a gadget which showed no current in the circuit. They have a separate old Memera fuse box but no separate meter. They worked last winter but I changed supplier in June, could this be the cause? Or is the next step an electrician, if so, roughly how much will this cost? Many thanks.

Hi Anita, Changing your supplier shouldn't have nothing to do with it. Storage heaters are only "live" during off peak hours to charge up then release their heat during normal hours As for costs? Shouldn't cost too much, prob something n nothing but get an electrician to have a look into this for you. Hope this helps a little Russ
