Hi Taseen, I've seen you posted this at the electrician category so I'll only discuss the electrical side of the matter. First of all you have to see how old is the fuse board, if there is bonding to gas and water pipes (or ask the electrician about that) if the lights and sockets work and what is the state of the sockets, switches and light fittings. Even If most of the things work you can still get an electrician to do an Electrical Installation Condition Report and you'll know the true state of your electrical installation. Hi Taseen All what Cony says below is correct but really you would have been advised to have this carried out prior to completion. If any major issues where found you could perhaps then haggle with the seller to get the price reduced. Get a report carried out for your peace of mind. Cost will vary form approx 100-150 depending upon size of property Thanks Russ
