Tree Height Reduction

Posted by Dave Helsby, on
Approximately how much would it be to remove a good 4-5 meters from the top of a large conifer, and have everything disposed of? Is there a way to stop the conifer growing in height in future?

Hello Dave, There are too many factors to consider before pricing. What is access like? How high is the tree? Are there any obstacles to consider (telephone cables, green houses, fences). Also check there are no TPOs for the tree/area. I suggest you post the job with a budget of under £500 and compare the three quotes you should get (I only suggest under £500 it may well work out more expensive). There is no way to stop the tree growing in height, either replace it with a smaller tree or keep in trimmed regularly. I hope this helps, Craig Spruce Garden Services Edinburgh & Lothians
