Does the fascia that guttering is attached to need to be treated?

Hi Helen If the fascia is wooden then yes it would be advisable to either stain or paint to waterproof it. Or you can use UPVC fascia's which are waterproof. Regards Gary GM Home Improvements

Hi Helen, If the fascia is wooden it will need to be re-painted to preserve the timber. If the fascia is UPVC it will not need to be treated. (Although, it will benefit from periodic washing / renewal)
