"Mario and his team have been great. We have asked these guys to completely refurbish our home and he has done a great job.
His professional and has an eye for what would look better and detail orientated.
He has carried out the following works to our house; 2 new bathrooms (inc wall hanging toilets and wash basins and shower room) stone tiles installed, new boiler and megaflow installed, solid wood flooring, floor and wall tiling in the kitchen, full decoration to the house, installing spot lights in the kitchen and halls, replace all radiators (inc wall standing in the kitchen, bathrooms and hallway).
Our home looks amazing thanks to Mario and his team. Trust this man with your money and home, his an honest hard working guy - He gives you receipts to every thing he buys. "

"This rating is for the decorating and kitchen fitting. The plumbing will have to be rated later when the bathroom has been done."

A qualified builder will be able to help you on projects such as cellar, garage and loft conversions, extensions and structural changes to your home.
Good builders will be able to advise you on materials, building regulations and whether or not you need to apply for planning permission. It's recommended that for large projects however, you initially employ an architect to discuss layout and best use of space which may save you money in the long term and give you the best result.
If you don't want to move house but need more space an extension will be a great way to give you what you want. Extensions can be complex and you may need planning permission whereas if you can convert existing space such as your attic or basement, this might be a simpler and more cost effective option.
Unlike the 'build upward' technique employed for two-storey extensions, your loft already has most of the structural parts in place and a lot of wiring and pipe work is nearby in the floor of your attic so extending circuits and pipes will be a lot easier.
On the other hand, lofts tend to be awkward in shape and you may not be lucky enough to have the right amount of viable or liveable space in which case you'll have to build outwards or add more room with a dormer extension. As attics aren't built for heavy traffic, you'll also have to strengthen joists in the floorboards and add in a sub-floor.
You also need to consider access issues and make sure that any staircases are planned correctly in the context of the rest of the house.
A basement or cellar conversion is easier to do yourself compared to the more complex loft conversion and the extension which , unless you are qualified, will need a professional builder. As basements rest on solid foundations, they need less strengthening and structural work. The main thing to be aware of for basement conversions is the risk of damp. You can get round the damp problem with de-humidifiers and good damp coursing.
In the absence of 'spare room' you can create the illusion of space by knocking down a non load-bearing wall. The trick to this is ensuring that the wall you plan to demolish is actually non load-bearing. Experienced builders will be able to help you with this.
