Property renovation in Thorpeness
"They have done a fantastic job on this major renovation project. The initial quotation was all encompassing and covered all aspects of the job. They came up with some great ideas and alternatives. The project was managed thoroughly and kept within the budget. When some extras were added (ie. an additional bathroom), this was quoted for and they still managed to complete the project on time. The standard of workmanship from all of the team was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, they always went that extra mile and I would have no hesistation in recommending this firm to anyone. I would definitely use thsi firm again.

"A great job done considering the change of design after discovering the wet rot in the lean-to. His website is great too. Thanks again."

Cellar and basement conversions in Westgate
"Talked a good job but failed to deliver. The owner James was very authoritative but then sent trainees and less than competent people to actually carry out the work. As a result we have been left with more expense as we have had to get in certified Corgi gas engineers in to repair damage J1 Construction did to out central heating boiler flue - which they should not have touched at all under Health & Safety regulations. In addition throughout we had to keep calling James and his business partner Richard back to sort out the mess their men were making - no dust sheets were put down in the house and wooden floors have been mucked up, dust everywhere because they couldn't be bothered to close doors (unfortunately I was not able to be there to supervise during the day), front door left wide open and the house unsecured, when the job was supposedly finished the place was left in a complete mess with tools and concrete/mortar all over the floor. Oh and so far no receipt or guarantee received after paying in full. DO NOT use this company if you have a "small job" as they clearly are not interested in anything less than ?10k."
