"While the quality of the workmanship was fine, there was a lack of consideration for my home and little care seemed to be taken to prevent damaging carpets, furniture, etc. A great deal of the sanding, trimming, planing work that could easily have been done outside (the weather was good and there is plenty of space) was done in one of the bedrooms - without any prior consultation or agreement from me. By the time I realised what was happening it was too late. The brand new carpet in that room has been left marked and there are multiple marks on walls and existing cupboard doors from sheer carelessness. While DC did vacuum the worst of the mess, it has taken me many hours to properly clear up and I was left very much with the impression that he simply wasn't bothered. The doors look good, but I would not ask DC to do any further work in my home because of the lack of consideration."
