"Gave us a price that was broadly in line with other quotes from Rated People. What distinguished them from the others was the thoroughness of initial visit, e.g he was the only one to mention the water pressure, even sending a couple of his guys back later to check the pressure before quoting for a combi boiler. He also had a lot of work on his books, which these days I take as a good sign, so we had to wait a couple of weeks before he could start, unlike some of the others who could start tomorrow. They showed up on time and did a competent and tidy job, found them very easy to deal with. Got them to do another job later, they went out of his way to fit it in. Highly recommended."

"Gave a fast and efficient quote with a couple of options to choose from in terms of boiler make, size etc. I liked the fact that there were options, and that the written quote showed the differences in cost for the options - other quotes, including that by British Gas were on a take it or leave it basis. Contracted out the drilling of the wall for the flue, which seems to be good, and also contracted out the joinery work for building out a wall and creating a hot press, also good. Flat was left in quite a dirty state, some thing that we get used to with workmen, but I'm never sure why this needs to be - I found wood shavings inside the oven (which was supposed to be covered!) A rather good solution to this one would be to quote for professional cleaning of the relevant areas - I'd have paid £100 to have someone blitz the kitchen and wash the floor thoroughly after the job - within the oevrall price, £100 is not much.
