"I would not use this person. We had him round to quote for a kitchen doing in the first week of September. He gave us a quote which we accepted and asked him to confirm by email. He confirmed the quote by email (after some chasing) and he arranged to do the work on 5 October, but we were ok with the delay because we were happy with the quote he gave us and the pictures he had shown. Three business days before he was due to turn up, I hadnt had any confirmation from him that he was still going to turn up, so I tried texting him and calling him and did not get a response to either from him. A day later I received a text from his wife on his phone saying that he had fractured his shoulder and was out of action. There was no apology or attempt to let us know, we only found out that he was not coming when we chased him. I think he is very unreliable and even if he had injured himself, he should have had the decency to let us know that he wouldnt be coming, rather than us having to chase him to find out. See below an email sent to him by my wife....to which she has had no response. ---------- I am writing to let you know how disappointed we feel with the way you have let us down with the kitchen fitting that was booked to start on Monday 5th October. I appreciate that you have an unforeseen injury but I cannot understand how an injured shoulder prevented you from contacting us to let us know about the resulting delay to the work we had both agreed and arranged with you. We chased you on a number of occasions and it was only through our efforts to contact you that we found out that you were unable to make a start on the work next week ? leaving us with only two working days notice to find someone else to do the work. We will be writing up a review on the trade website about this and how you have let us down."
