"We were happy with the actual job here - attitude was helpful & friendly, paint job was done in a good timeframe & good value for money (not exceptional quality but perfectly fine for our needs).
HOWEVER - subsequently we have found the person behind this company to be unreliable. We ended up in a situation where he had £500 of our money which he agreed to refund after we decided not to go ahead with a subsequent job due to changed circumstances. After a phone call, 2 email reminders & a written formal letter requesting this money we had heard nothing so instigated a claim through the small claims court.
We have recently heard from the court that the address to which a summons was delivered is not a valid address for this person/company – this address is the one declared by the company as their contact address on Ratedpeople.com.
So we now seem to be in a position where we have no means of formally summoning him to court to get our money back. Thus, I cannot recommend this person/company."
