"Mike Chadwick was employed after he gave a quote and we agreed a figure of £150 for the work. The tasks changed slightly therefore I asked him to come again and have another look to make sure he could do the job and this was arranged to happen however he did not come and stated that he left a voicemail informing me why but I did not receive the message. It was rearranged to happen on Sunday 29th June and he came as arranged. He was meant to start the work on Monday the 30th however did not come telling me that he had been called to an emergency as part of his contract with a company and would come on Tuesday instead to do the work. He did arrive on Tuesday the 1st of July and brought some board finish that he knew he would need as a goodwill gesture however he needed some other materials. I directed him to the local supplier as his usual supplier will not deliver to my area. I waited for him and after a while I received a text from him saying that the materials were not available and he had ordered them to arrive on Tuesday 8th July and he would return then to do the job. I found this to be unprofessional as he did it by text and there were some tasks that he could have gotten on with. He has now stated that he has taken on too much work and cannot do the work this week. He has continiously delayed the work and has been extremely unprofessional even though he knew what the work enititled and how quickly i required it to be done. I had turned away another tradesman as I thought Mr Chadwick was trustworthy but this is not the case and now have to look for someone else. Also I had contacted him at the weekend to check he could still do the work which he assured he could therefor to be told at the last minute that he cannot has left me in predicament and not able to trust him at all. He has also tried to blame myself for the repairs but I had advised him where he could get the materials and had checked availibility therefor for him to do this was uncalled for."
