"Since adding my first comments you will see a responce from the roofer. Unfortunately this system doesn't allow me mention names but the peron who's posted the comments isn't the same person!
All I would like to re-iterate is that I can provide pictures & statements from both tenants to verify my claims. I've since been back to the property over the weekend to rectify this guys shoddy work. Whilst I was there I spoke to the tenants again & they were amazed by the guys claims & to hear he charged me £25.00 extra to put a pipe into 3 brackets (which of course he hadn't)
I have quite a few rental properties & have a good working relationship with various trade people unfortunately my regular roofer's van was off the road & I wanted to get the guttering etc sorted rather than wait for him to get his van sorted.
I wish I'd waited!!!!!!

"I was sent the details of this company by Rated People & contacted them direct. Despite speaking to somebody & leaving breif details of the job together with my contact details I was never contacted.
I can only presume they could not be bothered with a small job like mine.
This isn't very profressional because all they need to do is say was that they don't do small jobs!"

"Extreme caution should be taken if you MUST use this guy. After quoting £90.00 for the original job it increased to £115 because he said I didn't request gutter guards back & front. After completing the job he added another £25.00 for putting a plastic pipe (3 FT long) back into existing brackets.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to view his work before paying him because I was going away on holiday the following day & the property is rented to tennants.
In short this guy isn't to be trusted, I have spoken to him on at least three occasions & he maintains he's done the job but will go back to put it right. That was two weeks ago & despite numerious calls he still hasn't been back.
I would never normally pay a trades person before inspecting the job first but because I got him through Rated People I thought I was gauranteed a professional job.
I've used similar sites to this & have usually got good trades people, in this case I got a chancer.
I would suggest that you don't use this guy under any circumstances because you will not only get charged over the odds but you will be threatened when you challenge his work manship. Pictures & tennant statements can back up my statements above. "
