"So disappointed, 5 months and still no garden! First came to give me a quote in January, work started in April and it is now September and my garden is still not finished! It was supposed to take a week and things started ok until the gardener had a few setbacks. We have been so understanding and patient despite excuse after excuse and constant let downs. We worked so hard to save up to have the garden done so our 2 year old daughter had somewhere to play, we had to cancel her birthday party in July after being promised that it would be finished by then. Gardener cannot be contacted at all by phone and has rang me to apologise once in this whole saga, I get emails to promise that my garden is top of his priority and he will be here first thing (83 in total) and then he never turns up! In fact I don?t think a full day has been spent here working on it, this is so frustrating and disappointing, summer is over and we haven?t been able to use the garden at all. I have been on to the office of fair trading and trading standards and advised to get quotes to finish the garden which the gardener will then be liable to pay for. Stupidly I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt as I am a nice person and genuinely believed he was having problems and would get it finished, also didn't want to pay more after all all the hassle. I now have no choice and this is my next course of action as he doesn't want to give my deposit back despite my entitlement in the contract we have and I just feel conned. I have a half finished front and back garden which is embarassing to neighbours and family asking what is happening with it. I feel this is a fair rating which I am happy to amend if the gardener decides to finish the garden but I haven't heard from him now for about a month. I don't think it is fair that he gains and works on any more projects when he hasn't honoured his exhisting commitments. "

"Can't rate Colin highly enough. All work carried out as requested/quoted. May have even saved our hair/lives by spotting the dangers of our lethal old cooker. Colin comes with a wealth of knowledge about loads of household jobs - plumbing and otherwise (Though I think we may have asked a bit too many questions!). We now have piping hot central heating and instant hot water with a nice basis for finally getting a decent shower fitted. excellent."
