Old cooker was gas only so need to 1. connect 6mm cable to existing consumer unit 2. connect 6mm cable to cooker and install fuse/switch near cooker according to regs 3. Connect gas supply to cooker. Consumer unit is opposite side of kitchen to cooker but have a builder who will run 6mm cable across kitchen in casing (from unit to cooker). Consumer unit is old (we think late 70s) but think it's been upgraded to circuit breakers (can send photo of existing equipment). Not looking to upgrade consumer unit (will have to renovate whole flat at some point in next few years so want to avoid upgrade now). More work than a regular dual cooker installation so budget higher depending on difficulty of connecting cooker cable to consumer unit. Ideally looking for someone available this week but can be flexible on date. If not gas safe please quote for connecting electric parts of job and will get standard gas safe installer to do the rest (existing quote for that 59.99)
