En-suite bathroom that we want to return to a separate room, opening up old doorway, closing existin in Eccles
Needed: Bathroom Specialist in Eccles, ME20
Job submitted:May 11, 2009
Job description:Current en-suite which was originally a bedroom. Want to close off existing doorway and open up the original doorway on landing. Hopefully moving the door and door surround across (as Victorian house so want to keep features). Remove bath suite and then fit another suite - comprising large shower, toilet, sink and radiator (there is currently a bath in the ensuite which will not be replaced). The toilet will remain as is i.e. waste pipe will not need moving. Sink, radiator and shower (plus the waste pipes for these) will all need moving. Want to half tile the whole room. There are currently tiles on the wall which will need removing. Could be an issue as lath and plaster walls. The skirting boards would also need to be replaced where necessary. Currently a wood floor (original floorboards) that we want to sand the dark varnish off and rewax with a much lighter stain. We also would require the light switch to be moved and also the bathroom and one wall of bedroom to be plastered (although if you are unable to offer this service, then I have contacts for this). I have had one quote for the work which was very high. I want to get a feel for realistic prices - even if you cannot do all the work if it means project management and for me to use 3 or 4 tradespeople then I am happy to do this. We have the bathroom suite - i.e. toilet, sink, radiator, shower and fittings and the tiles.
Budget:I'm not sure
