Job description:We have lived here for just over two years. Th existing bathroom was fitted just prior to that. Immediately, some of the tiles next to the bath started cracking and have continued to do so. The panels behind the tiles have absorbed water and expanded. Water has leaked from the bath/shower to areas underneath and around it and has made its way through the floor and down one wall downstairs. There is now a smell of damp and mould exists all over the grout and some painted areas. The suite itself was new and is in good working order so I wish to retain it. However, the layout is impractical as it is, and is partly to blame for the leaks. A simpler arrangement would be easier to fit and prevent leaks. I would also like the bathroom window to be enlarged to allow more light in. At the moment, the light needs to be switched on, even on the sunniest of days. To complete, I would like to replace the laminate flooring with an alternative and re-tile the walls appropriately.
