Job description:I had a new bath fitted three years ago, but it does not appear to have been fitted very well. Moisture has got behind the tiles surrounding the bath, and a couple of them have fallen off. Other tiles appear to be moving away from the wall (sticking out slightly). From tapping the tiles, it sounds like there is damp behind two or more rows of tiles around the bath. Ideally, the work would be carried out some time during the next two weeks, while people are away for Christmas and the bathroom is not being used. I think there are three things that need doing: 1) Take the side panels off the bath and make sure it is secured to the floor (as it rocks slightly) 2) Take off any tiles that are not secured to the wall and re-tile the area (using the existing tiles, as none are broken) 3) Put a good sealant around the bath to stop any further moisture getting into the wall.
Budget:Under £500
