Moving ground floor bathroom to 1st floor. in Avonmouth
Needed: Bathroom Specialist in Avonmouth, BS11
Job submitted:Jan 12, 2011
Job description:We are considering buying a small 3 bed Edwardian terrace in Bristol. The current bathroom is in the ground floor of a rear extension. Fortunately there is a small bedroom (measuring 9'7 x 6' or 2.94m x 1.84m) directly above it and we would like to move the bathroom into it. Would this be fairly straightforward if the pipes are coming through the same exterior wall, but just one floor up? There is a manhole cover in the back yard, close to the back wall of the house, which seems to be for water or drains. We would want to replace the current bath, loo and wash basin with equivalents that are cheap and cheerful. We also want an electric shower over the bath. The combi boiler is in a cupboard in the small bedroom (don't know if that makes any difference). The new bathroom would need wall tiling and probably vinyl flooring. The cost of this work might determine whether or not we go ahead with the sale, as we are first time buyers and counting every penny! :) Would we need to rip out the old bathroom suite before you arrive or should that be done by a plumber? The old bathroom would be converted into a new 3rd bedroom/study or possibly utility room as the kitchen isn't enormous. Many thanks! Susie
Budget:£2,000 - £4,000
