Bathroom re-fit: Bath removal, shower to input in New Town
Needed: Bathroom Specialist in New Town, CO1
Job submitted:Oct 21, 2007
Job description:We have recently moved into a house but the bathroom isn't the best design. The bathroom itself is an 'L' shape. Currently the bath fits into the alcove part and extends across that side with the sink under the window on the long wall and the toilet on the smallest wall. There is a shower over the bath but this is the root of the problem. It creates 2 waterfalls where the bath doesn't fill the whole space and tiles have been placed along to fill the gaps. What we want is for the bath to be removed. A shower tray of 900mmx800mm put in it's place with a bi-fold or sliding door. The alcove that we want it to go in has the dimensions 935mmx854mm. We would like the sink removed and placed on the same wall as the shower but with a vanity unit underneath. Other than that it would require tiling around the alcove where the shower is to be and across that one wall where the sink will be. The floor would also need re-doing. We would also like an extractor fan placed in the bathroom as the ventilation isn't great and with all the excess water left there mildew is already starting to become an issue. We hope that someone who reads this can see a solution to our problem. As much as waterfalls are lovely...we'd prefer not having them in the bathroom! :oD We are more than happy to arrange a time to come and look at the space and discuss options. Thanks.
