Job description:QUOTE for: bulging retaining wall, tie in wall, repair to front bay, optional repointing We are in the process of purchasing a house and following the survey there are some items I would like to get a quote for repairing. The survey has highlighted the following: 1) There is cracking and bulging around the bottom right hand corner of the front bay (possible caused by plant growth close to the wall). It is likely that this section of the bay will need to be rebuilt. Estimated area 7 red bricks high, 3-4 bricks along front and 3-4 bricks along side. 2) Cracking was noted at the joint of the sunroom addition to the main house. The wall to this extension may not be properly tied in with the main building and it is recommended that the brickwork be stitched in and repointed. Estimated height of sunroom is 10 feet, 2 wall joins to house. 3) There are brick boundary retaining walls to the front elevation of the garden. This brick wall is bulging in places and will require rebuilding. Patching and repointing will also be required along the front and side elevations. Estimated height 6 red bricks. Total wall length est 30 feet, not all of which is bulging, needing patching or repointing. 4) Repointing of bricks on house, house half render, bottom half brick to est 10 feet. (N.B this is less important than other 3 points above). We are interested at this stage to get a quote for the work, which may enable us to adjust our offer on the property, with a view to carrying out the work once we are in possession of the property later this year.
