Repair to garden wall to replace gate where stonework has broken in Staple Hill
Needed: Bricklayer in Staple Hill, BS16
Job submitted:Feb 16, 2011
Job description:Our front garden gate was attached to a large stone pillar, which has snapped about 3 inches from the floor and collapsed meaning the gate post has gone with it! We would need someone to look at replacing it, but this is probably not possible so someone to tidy up the remainder of the wall, re-point and then fit a new garden gate, or get it to a stage where we can fit a new gate. The wall is made of brick, about 1 metre tall where the gate post is. The large stone pillar is approx 1.5 metres tall and snapped about three inches from the floor. The existing brick wall is intact, but the concreting in between has started to come away. The bricks and the stone are obviously available, but materials to repoint and repair will need to be supplied.
Budget:Under £250
