Job description:I would like to extend my driveway by about 3 feet or so, to allow another car to be parked on it. This means altering the wall which runs across the bottom of the driveway (and my neighbours driveways) so that at the end of my neighbours driveway instead of continuing across the bottom of my driveway it turns a right angle for three feet or so (alongside the driveway), then another right angle to run back across the driveway. In other words, a section of an existing wall needs to be moved back about 3 foot, with a new section added so it is still attached to the remainder of the wall. The section to be moved is approximately 9 feet by 3ft. Some of the bricks from the existing wall could probably be reused. That said, it is only single thickness at present and i wonder whether it would be better to have it rebuilt as double thickness.
