Job description:Digging down to make more head room. The house is on a hill and one side of the basememnt is deeper than the other, so footings at one end are much deeper. At present the head room is apx 6', Structural Engineer been to have a look suggested that only 1/2 the basement needs underpinning, he will supply plans. Does not need planning permission but needs to conform with building regs, plans will be submitted to council. Needs opening for stairs from floor above, old door to be bicked up, new opening for doors opening to garden, replace 2 windows, plastering to walls.
