Job description:Mid terrace home with current half width, single storey, pitched roof, rear extension. Would like to remove most of current extension and replace with full width single storey and then remove all internal walls from the area to achieve one large living space. (Large structural steel content). Most of the new rear wall will be glass folding sliding doors (4m span across 6m room width). Would also like to introduce a downstairs toilet in the middle of the house although current floors are concrete and obviously no exterior wall accessible (terrace)! No planning permission required (due to low additional volume) but plans are currently with building control (submitted 10 weeks ago) awaiting more detailed calculations for insulation due to high glazing content.
