Job description:traditional tenement flat, currently unoccupied. Have structural engineer's report re cracks in wall and bowed floor. At some point in the past someone has built an unsupported brick wall in first floor flat to form part of small internal kitchen. Building control have said they will accept a letter from structural engineer. Ensure wall is not structural as regards flat above. Remove wall and replace with stud wall. Wall is approx 3m long and has gas cooker, kitchen units, electrical sockets and worktop which will need replacing afterwards. Retiling (say 1 square metre). Wall also currently has internal windows to give light to the kitchen, would like a similar solution.
