Job description:General House: 1- Organise and supply a current copy Gas safety Cert w CORGI registered gas fitter. 2- *Task Removed* to be done by electrician. 3- Check that ALL upholstered furniture complies with Furniture And Fire Safety Regulations 1988, all matresses bed bases and headboards must comply to BS7177:1991 4- *Task Removed* to be done by electrician. 5 - Adjust all firedoors so that they close automatically from all angles of swing i) May invlove adjusting, replacing the mechansim, closer, or spring, or sanding the paint on the door edges. Lower bedroom nearest bathroom: 6- Supply and fit 'industrial type' fire escape ladder to far wall under ONE window. This is to enable evacuation from the room via ONE of the fire escape windows. 7- Test and fix fire detector - it did not appear to be interlinked with the others. 8- Check that all Windows are lockable - new windows are being fitted so these should comply - if not supply and fit locks i)windows must be 0.33m2 with no dimension less than 0.45m 9- Relocate fire detector so that it is greater than 300mm from the wall i) Make good and paint any holes. Kitchen: 14- Relocate heat detector so that it is greater than 300mm from the beam/wall i) Make good and paint any holes. 15- Supply and fit a fire blanket complying with BS6575 and BS EN 1869. i) Must be wall mounted adjacent to door. Hallway: 16- Supply and fit water type extinguisher rated 13A to sensible and non-obstructive position on wall. i) Should be mounted on shelf or bracket not more than 750mm from floor level.
