Job description:Investigate extent of water damage and make good: leak from water feed to washing machine has caused water to get into floor boards (approx 20 mm chipboard type) with possible spread to timber joists and timber stud partition behind washer. Bathroom is other side of partition - floor finish and skirting showing signs of moisture spread into bathroom too. Maximum spread of moisture damage seems to be 2.5m along partition both sides. This work will ultimately be paid for by inurance company Direct Line. I also have a shower that needs sorting out seperate to the above works: Remove existing shower tray install new floor boards beneath, make good plasterboard in two or three locations adjacent shower (max 3.5 square metres) re-instate shower tray (new/existing). Fit new shower door.
