Job description:The room is cuurrently not habitable as it does not have the benefit of any natural light or ventilation. - currently within the basement the floor is of a screeded concrete construction under a plasterboard lined ceiling. - Walls within the cellar have been dry lined which is the practice of affixing plasterboard panels onto wall surfaces with the aid of either plaster dabs or timber battens. - To remedy the extensive damp penetration that can be seen to have occurred particularly noticeable to the rear and left hand walls. - When tested with an electric moisture meter reader these damp stains were noted to be active and as a result plasterboard panelling has softened.... - The work to refurbish this cellar area did not include properly waterproofing and tanking underlying brick walls - to remove and renew all wall linings ensuring that underlying brickwork is first properly and professionally tanked and waterproofed. - then replastered to make it habitable
