Job description:This is an ex-local authority house in a quiet cul-de-sac and was in excellent condition before the pipes burst in the attic during the Christmas period. The property is empty of contents and has been dried out with dehumidifiers but there is considerable water damage throughout. It is covered by the insurance and I'm negotiating a financial settlement because of the amount of delay in trying to get the work done via insurance contractors. The damage is extensive: Attic to be re lagged. Ceilings to be replaced (they have already been removed). Bathroom to be restored. Upstairs flooring to be removed and replaced. Solid wooden flooring in hallway to be replaced. L-shaped area of kitchen units to be removed and replaced and party wall between hall and kitchen to be made good in kitchen. Solid fuel heating system to be replaced. Electrical wiring to be sorted and the property will also require redecoration throughout. And more................
