Job description:I am looking for a contractor to carryout out an extension to my house ? 4 Hamble Close, Desford. I have plans, planning consent, building control approval and am all set to start. My builder has let me down at the last minute. The work has been estimated to be two months work and the major elements are; Extension to dormer in roof to create shower room inc. fitting out ? plumbing, tiling, electrics, etc. Ground floor alterations ? Creating new external door opening and fitting patio type door Converting existing ground floor room into utility room ? first fix plumbing, connections to existing drain, electrics, etc. Building new room on ground floor behind existing double garage, access door to house, electrics, double glazed uPVC window, door to garage. Building up walls to front and rear elevations to meet new roof line as below. Underpinning inside garage to create load bearing capacity to take; Roof alterations ? Removal of flat roof over garage and creation of new sloping roof constructed using glulam beam purlins and rafters. This roof has four velux windows to give light and ventilation to a new room and an extended room on the first floor. This new roof is a single pitch and replaces one side of the existing roof which has a steeper pitch. First floor alterations ? Creation of new corridor (with sun pipe to provide natural light) through existing bedroom to provide access to, New bedroom under new roof with two velux roof lights and single double glazed uPVC window in rear elevation, electrics. Extension to existing bedroom to go into new roof space with two velux roof lights, electrics. Full plans and calcs are available. Timber for the roof work has already been priced by Richard Granger at Harlows in Loughborough (01509 842561). If you have the capacity and capability to undertake this work, can start before the end of July and finish within two/three months, can provide good references, guarantee a good quality job at a fair price and want this work ?
