Job description:The chimney has been removed at ground floor level. The supports in place are inadequate. I have have the work inspected by the council and it needs to be brought up to the required standard as part of the regularisation process. I have also had plans drawn up by a structural engineer. The chimney will need supporting above the kitchen by a beam supported by padstones. There is a load bearing wall on each side of the kitchen in which to fix the padstones. The house is a two bedroom terrace.
