Putting in an archway between living room and dining room in Magnus

Job description:The house has a Wimpey No Fines construction and we are looking at putting an archway (possibly with door) between a current dining room and living room. We are also looking at adding a patio door to the rear of the property with there is currently just a window. We would like to know about the issues with any of the above(if any) due to the house being constructed in the style it is.
