Create an understairs cupboard in Calverton

Job description:We have a space under the stairs that can not be reached. The original opening was at the end, and this had now been incorporated into the kitchen. The sides of the the stairs are brick and I would like the opening to be made there if possible. There is an electrical point on the wall, but I don't know if this will cause a problem. Not sure what other information to give.
