Install an RSJ on padstones into cob walls in Plymouth terraced house. in Efford and Lipson
Needed: Builder in Efford and Lipson, PL4
Job submitted:Aug 22, 2011
Job description:9M existing wooden joists supporting ground floor are sagging in the middle. These will be supported and pushed up an inch or so while we install an RSJ to provide permanent support. I need builder competent and confident to carefully remove pockets and install 0.45 x 0.15 x 0.15 M c20 concrete padstones in terraced cob wall. Structural calcs and drawings are done. I am concerned that stones from cob wall are removed carefully so as not to affect neighbouring properties. I do not want some 18 year olds hacking away at it less carefully than I would do myself. Quote is for pockets and padstones including bolts to hold steel. Steel would be cut 2/3, 1/3 to assist in installation. I could cut, bolt, weld and deal with steel myself and support the joists. However, if price is right I could hand the whole job over to you.
Budget:Under £1,000
