Job description:Looking to move house and have found a house we are keen on however it needs some work. It is a 1930s 3 bed semi detached house in the east cosham area of portsmouth.. Basically it will be pretty much a whole house project so we want a building firm who are skilled in most areas. There are a number of jobs that would need to be carried out as follows:- 1) a wall would need to be knocked down to create a kitchen diner 2) a new kitchen would need to be fitted 3) an outside wc would need to be modified to be turned into a new inside wc 4) the current electrics would need to be checked and possible rewire 5) wooden flooring or high quality laminate in the hall and new kitchen diner 4) new lighting fitted in whole house 5) carpet in other areas 6) new upstairs bathroom and possibly extended to fit seperate shower 7) fireplaces to be modified and installed with wood burners or vintage fireplace ideally we would want one firm to give us a quote for the whole project. For now we just need advice on the costings to work out budgets..
