Job description:2 storey extension at rear of Victorian terraced house. The work will primarily consist of knocking through the old outside toilet and building a brick extension on two floors (approx 15 sq. ft.) Also: Fitting a new kitchen (in place of existing one), and re-locating and fitting a new bathroom (bathroom is being moved to a different location upstairs). We would also like to use the building work as an opportunity to consider other amendments to the property: unblocking of chimney and fitting a wood-burning stove; re-plastering other rooms, etc. We have all planning and building regs permissions etc, and architects/structural engineer?s plans ready. The job will be project managed by the architect (Alistair Lloyd at ABRACAD Architectural Practice, Bracknell, West Berks. www.abracad.org). Time-frame: My wife is expecting our first baby at the end of August, so we?d like to get started as soon as possible!
