Job description:Currently we have a 4 bedroom house,bedrooms are very small and we want to convert it to a 3 bed.It was originally a 3 bed but previous owner did the conversion to 4 and also created a new bathroom on the front elevation and removed old bathroom at rear and making it the new 4th bedroom. We want to remove bathroom on front and convert 4th bedroom back to a bathroom as it was.This will involve the construction of new stud walling and removal of others and all plastering as required. New bathroom will be smaller and will consist of a rectangular shower cubicle,pedastal sink,low flush loo and a towel radiator .Shower to run off a condensing Vaillant combi boiler. Some electrical work will be required,new locations for switches and sockets mainly. Relocation of the loft hatch may be required or it reducing in size to allow construction of a stud wall. New bathroom would require tiling,walls and floor. New bathroom window would need an obscure unit fitting. Extractor fan in bathroom would need to be fitted. I have drawn up a plan of work required and have had a builder round last November(begining of) and we are still waiting for his quote! What we are looking for particularly is a timescale for the job to be completed i.e would it be possible to do this work in 2 weeks?
