Replacement Joists in Woodford Halse

Job description:I have one rotten joist in my hallway which appears to just be the top part where damp has gotten in by the doorstep. I need this replacing and a new floorboard putting over the top. The hallway is only 1m wide, and the rotten wood appears to go back about 1 ft, but I cannot be totally sure.
