Build storage in reception rooms in Bridge

Job description:we need some shelves added to provide storage in our 2 reception rooms. in 1 reception room we want 'floating' storage for books and games etc these would be painted in the same colour as that room. in the other reception room we have a bay window. we want to have a window seat installed which opens up to provide storage for bits and pieces, throws, cds, dvds etc. we welcome advice on whether we should have another style of storage in either reception room.
