Alcove Shelving in Page Moss
Needed: Carpenter / Joiner in Page Moss, L36
Job submitted:Jun 12, 2011
Job description:Sorry if the job type isn't accurate. I couldn't see a suitable one to select. I'd like 2 chunky looking shelves putting up in the alcoves either side of my fire place (4 shelves in total) with the intention of storing dvds and some books. I've had one vague quote so far which mentioned that batoning them out and then boxing around with ply wood would be much cheaper than hardwood. But i'm open to options, it really comes down to the finished look and the price. ideally something that looks along the lines of the following: http://www.handymanknowhow.co.uk/puttingthingsup/alcove%20shelf225.jpg I'd like these shelves to be darkwood to match the fire surround. The alcove measurements are as follows: left alcove approx: 124.5 cm wide, 38 cm deep. right alcove: 165 cm wide, 36.5 cm deep The depth of the shelves will not be the full depth of the alcoves but since one end of the right alcove joins the window (and hence the curtains could get in the way I'd be grateful for recomendations when anyone interested in the job comes to have a look. Thanks for your interest. Craig
