To box in an extractor fan duct in Heyhouses

Job description:I would like to box in an extractor fan duct in a kitchen. The duct runs along the top of the cupboards and finishes at the outlet vent which is higher up. This doesn't look very good and so I would like it boxing in with MDF or something else smooth that can be painted the same colour as the wall. It will look best to box in the entire length above the cupboards and not just where the duct is. This will therefore require about 3.2metre x 300mm of MDF or similar. The boxing in can be scribed to the ceiling but only fitted to the top of the cupboards so it can be removed to allow access to the extractor fan plug/fuse if necessary.
