Side Loft Entrance Expansion & Replacement in Dales

Job description:My house is designed so that the front has 3 floors, but the back only has two. So on the opposite side to the top bedroom we have a side attic. It has a normal loft hatch but on the wall instead of the ceiling. However it's in a bit of disrepair. We never actually keep the hatch up as it is difficult to move ever time we need to get in the attic, and we use the attic quite a bit. As winter sets in, it'll start becoming a cold issue. I was hoping that the actual opening could be extended upwards, and a door could be fitted, that opened outwards, tall enough to walk through, and secure enough to stop cold breezes.
