Fit internal wooden french doors in Healey
Needed: Carpenter / Joiner in Healey, OL12
Job submitted:Mar 17, 2009
Job description:I wish to have a pair of internal french doors fitted between my dining room and conservatory. I am disabled and use a wheelchair and the current glass sliding doors are impractical for me as they slide in a raised track which I can't get over. So, I need these doors taking out and a pair of doors fitting with a smooth threshold which I can wheel over. I haven't bought the doors yet and would wish the winning tradesperson to assist me with advice/choosing etc. The approximate size of the door opening is 80 incehs high, 69 inches wide. It is essential that the threshold is smooth, and that there is a high standard of finish to the floor between the dining room (laminate) and the conservatory (tile). The doors can be fitted unfinished, as my Dad can paint them. I propose to purchase "standard" size doors (ie. off the shelf rather than have them made to measure), so there may be some extra joinery to make them fit etc.
Budget:£250 - £500
