Job description:We have a soil pipe running down the rear wall of the house from the upstairs toilet. When flushing toilet there is a foul smell noticeable in our back room and in patio area. We think we may have a cracked drain. We live in a Victorian semi detached house with a blue brick patio. We think the problem might be under there. We have insurance but they will not come out until a problem is identified. They said to lift our drain cover but we don't appear to have one on the proprety.
