Job description:New U bend with new access point required. My property is in the basement apartment of a tenement building. All the drains from the 8 apartments above come down the back of the building and join together to run, under my property, to eventually join the mains drainage in the street in front of my property (Glengyle Terrace). This drain (about 8 " diameter) has been getting blocked periodically for many years and I have managed to free the obstruction by rodding the drains from an access point at the back of the property. However it requires 21 x 3ft rods. The drain is now getting blocked with such frequency and takes longer and longer, that I wish to have the drain dug up at the front of the house and the U bend repaired (or replaced) with an access point at the front to make it easier to clear in the future. The U bend is thought to be located under some paving stones in a small courtyard in the front of our basement flat.
