Blocked outside washing and bath drain, black soot at bottom of drain in Woodhouse Park

Job description:Hi there I have a blocked outside drain which I have cleared a bit but at the bottom there is all black grainy soot, it is the drain for the bath, sink and washing machine so no grease or food waste. have had my hand down there and the hose pipe but no luck. We are having tram services in the area put in and a couple of months ago work men had the flags up doing gas works and I could see the drain so don't know if they have caused a problem. I thought when you get black soot the drain is meant to be broken. Can anyone confirm the usual reasons for the soot. not dyno rodded it as was told would prob not shift it. Obviously just looking for quotes first and as cheap as possible, please contact me via email. Thanks
