Job description:We are in the process of purchasing a property and have had the following information back from the survey that was carried out: "It is assumed that there is a connection to the main sewer, there appearing to be a communal drainage run below the bathroom extension toward the left hand side. The inspection chamber cover, which is badly damaged and in need of replacement, was lifted and the drains were found to be completely blocked. The neighbouring owner advised that this has been a long running problem ( not verified ) and this should be the subject of further investigation as soon as possible. Repairs, if needed, could be costly as the drains appear to run below the extension and access could therefore be difficult. There is a substantial Conifer tree within the neighbouring garden to the rear left hand side; root intrusion could be a potential cause of the drainage problems, and future growth should be discouraged" we are looking for someone to give us a quote and to see what the actual issue is with the drains.
