Blocked toilet and shower plughole in Norcot

Job description:Toilet pan overfills after flushing then slowly drains. Leak from where toilet trap attatches to back of toilet during and after flushing. Shower plughole slow to drain in same bathroom. Both on ground floor, house built around 1900. Slight improvement only with Mr Muscle drain clearer (sodium hydroxide). Other plugholes in house draining normally. Not sure if drainage expert or plumber more appropriate.
