The MCB on my RCD box for the ground floor lights keeps tripping. This does not appear to be... in Harden

Needed: Electrician in Harden, BD16

Job submitted:Jan 5, 2012

Job description:The MCB on my RCD box for the ground floor lights keeps tripping. This does not appear to be related to any particular device in the house being plugged in/switched on, i.e., the lights don't go off because I switch on an iron or a toaster, for example. After reseting all the MCBS for the lighting component of the RCD, the MCB for the ground floor lights usuaully causes the RCD to flip off again but, after a number of attempts, the MCB eventually stays on and the lights work. However, they will then switch off at some arbitrary time (5 mins; 1 hour; two hours). The RDC box was installed and tested about 2 to 3 years ago.

Budget:Under £100
